God reveals Himself in the Bible
Before considering the events of creation as recorded in Genesis 1, we will first list some of the details that God has recorded about Himself in His word, the Bible. It is important that we have a good grasp of these details so that we understand the power of God and His purpose in creation.
God reveals that He is “from everlasting to everlasting”
“Lord, You have been our dwelling place[a] in all generations.
Before the mountains were brought forth,
Or ever You had formed the earth and the world,
Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.(Psalm 90:1–2}
“You are My witnesses,” says the Lord,
“And My servant whom I have chosen,
That you may know and believe Me,
And understand that I am He.
Before Me there was no God formed,
Nor shall there be after Me.
; Isaiah 43:10)
He is the source of immortal life (1 Timothy 6:14–16; 1:17)
14 that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing, 15 which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.
He is the one true God
I am the Lord, and there is no other;
There is no God besides Me.
I will gird you, though you have not known Me,
6 That they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting
That there is none besides Me.
I am the Lord, and there is no other;
7 I form the light and create darkness,
I make peace and create calamity;
I, the Lord, do all these things.’

He dwells in heaven
Unto You I lift up my eyes,
O You who dwell in the heavens.
(Psalm 123:1)
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.

By His spirit power He knows all things. Nothing is hid from His eyes
Can anyone hide himself in secret places,
So I shall not see him?” says the Lord;
“Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the Lord.

His creation testifies to His wisdom
33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!
34 “For who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has become His counselor?”
35 “Or who has first given to Him
And it shall be repaid to him?”
36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

The intricate design of man’s body testifies to His great power
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;[a]
Marvellous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well. (Psalm 139:14)
The hearing ear and the seeing eye,
The Lord has made them both.
(Proverbs 20:12; Psalm 94:9;)
He can foretell the future and bring it to pass Remember the former things of old,
For I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like Me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning,
And from ancient times things that are not yet done,
Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand,
And I will do all My pleasure,’
(Isaiah 46:9–10; Numbers 23:19)
He inspired the writing of the Bible
15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.(2 Peter 1:19–21; 2 Timothy 3:15-17)
His character combines justice and mercy. He shows mercy to the faithful, but is angry with those who rebel against Him
22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness,[a] if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.

He has plainly shown His love for us by providing the Lord Jesus Christ. Through him our sins can be forgiven and we can live in hope of eternal life
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

He desires men and women to respond to what He has revealed in His word and believe it
30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, 31 because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.
(Acts 17:30–31; Hebrews 11:6).
Nothing will please Him more, nor benefit us more, than that we come to know Him
3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
